How to Know Your Hometown

If you’ve been living in many places throughout your life, how do you know which place is really your hometown?

It’s simple. In my opinion, my hometown is where I feel most confident to give answers when someone stops me on the street to ask me for directions.

I was walking my dog this evening, and a rider stopped to ask if I could give him directions to get back to the main road.  He couldn’t even remember which gate he entered through (our subdivision has 5) and I gave him the shortest route, complete with easy to remember landmarks.

My family moved to BF Resort Village in Las Pinas City when it wasn’t even a part of Metro Manila yet.  They moved into the house and then went to the hospital so my mom could have me through c-section.

Back then, the subdivision was filled with more trees and foliage, we even had fireflies! And the river behind our subdivision was very clean. Not all houses had cars, most of the houses were the standard build small bungalows, and I even remember wearing a hoodie when we would play out on the street during the ‘ber’ months!
